Velvet coat dress “Orchestre”
Inspired by a photo I found in a 1950 issue of the haute couture magazine “L’officiel”, I created this elegant, timeless winter dress. Made of a slightly elastic cotton velvet, it is extremely comfortable to wear. The velvet’s natural insulating and breathable qualities keep you warm, cozy and dry in any situation: at work, in a restaurant, the opera or during a stroll outside under a large woolen coat.
The deep neckline is framed by a notched revere collar. The double-breasted front features fabric covered buttons on the outside, while it’s closed on the inside by a concealed placket. A large matching belt underlines the typically 50s hourglass silhouette.
The dress is available in peacock blue and rust. It is made in limited edition in southern France.
