The eponym of our 2021 collection: the Parc du Mugel. A few million years ago, this tiny valley has been separated by the rising sea from the micro-continent it had shared with Corsica and Sardinia. Thanks to its unique position right next to the sea and sheltered from the winter winds by huge rocks, the climate is so advantageous that, almost a hundred years ago, a coal merchant from Marseilles decided to plant a tropical garden there. When I stroll through the overwhelming beauty of its abundant vegetation, enjoying the gorgeous views and intense calmness, it truly feels like a distant place. Distant from this continent, distant from this time.
